I love working with people.
I value connection and relationship. I think it’s my most favorite thing! And research shows that positive experiences of human connection are essential components of our emotional health. One of my primary goals is to facilitate this type of relational experience in therapy to help you process and heal what hurts, while empowering you to effectively move forward in life.
I went through my own healing journey.
In my late youth I began my journey of personal healing that continues to unfold today. I had the good fortune to encounter some amazing therapists who helped me to discover my compassion, curiosity, and empathic qualities. My life changed when I leaned in curiously to my authenticity, developed a caring relationship to my pain, and shifted my mindset from not good enough to worthy. It’s become my daily practice to be curious rather than furious and to choose courage over comfort.
I’m intentional.
As a mom of two and an empathic introvert, I know what it’s like to give so much of yourself that burn out is inevitable. I’ve spent much of my life as a nurturer, but I’ve learned the importance of balancing care for others with care for myself. As a recovering people pleaser and rule follower I’ve learned that prioritizing your well-being isn’t selfish—it’s essential. Whether it’s through hiking, playful moments with my kids, or connecting with friends, I’ve discovered that taking care of myself allows me to show up fully for others.
I’m intentional about creating space for what truly matters: your energy, your joy, and your growth.
I hope to forever be a learner. Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to:

I understand that therapy is a financial commitment. It’s also a place for you to experience growth and healing in a way that can transform your life.
When you finally make the decision to begin therapy, you are eager to work hard, even if that means doing what’s uncomfortable - because you’re determined to see results!
My goal is for therapy to be as brief as possible, however the length can vary depending on the problem we’re working with and your commitment to therapy. On average, most of my clients are in therapy for 6 months, and some for longer periods as well.
Because a positive working relationship between the client and therapist is crucial to long-term success, I initially recommend coming in for at least 6 sessions to explore and define our goals.
FAQs
+ Do you take insurance?
I am in network with Aetna and Optum. For the remaining insurance plans, I am considered an out-of-network provider. I can provide clients a billing statement at the end of each month to be submitted for reimbursement for clients with PPO, HSA, or other flexible benefits. I encourage all my clients to speak with their insurance company about reimbursement for some portion of therapy.
+ How does online therapy work?
We will meet online via a video call for a 50 minute session. There is no arriving at my office frazzled from a commute. All you need is a comfortable private space, good internet, and a tablet, laptop, smart phone, or personal computer and we’ll talk together! I use Google Meet (similar to Skype or FaceTime), a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, which has been optimized for the unique requirements of psychotherapy. It’s also very user friendly!
+ Is online therapy a good fit for me?
This platform tends to work especially well with people who have busy schedules and/or prefer not to commute more than what is necessary—and those with a reliable, high-speed internet connection. These sessions also allow more flexibility in scheduling.
+ What can I expect from online therapy?
Once you’ve scheduled your first session with me and have filled out the initial paperwork, I will send you a link to my online therapy waiting room. At the time of your scheduled session, all you need to do is click on the link you received via email and our video call will start shortly after you sign in. It really is that easy!
