Therapy Sessions Online!

As a resident of the technology/start up land, I have frequent interaction with working professionals and consumers in the industry. And while part of what makes this work great is the in person connection, it got me wondering if I might consider leaning into this technology movement as well.

I came across The Angry Therapist when browsing the internet and was immediately curious. He chronicled his post divorce struggles and career change on his Tumblr blog. One day a Tumblr follower asked for advice about her relationship, he emailed her back a long and thoughtful response, and this follower sent him an unsolicited $20. Shortly after, she became his first client and his business grew from there. According to the Angry Therapist, without using this teletherapy platform, he would not have reached as many people as he did.

Online video counseling catches the people that would not have sought out help because the traditional way is too expensive, and inconvenient, and for some, evasive.
